The Power of PIZZA!

In the midst of getting back into school routine - and all the balancing that goes with it, I realized how easy it is to forget FAMILY SILLY TIME.  I grabbed my daughter, gave her a hug & held her tight.  In that moment, I had to think way too hard about when we last just sat together and concentrated on our relationship with each other. I mean it hadn't been months - but it sure wasn't in the last few days...too long for me.

SOOO - IT WAS ON, like white on rice, like cheese on macaroni, we did SAUCE ON PIZZA.

I found a great little secret at Sam's can purchase a box of their deli pizza dough - 20 individually wrapped frozen dough balls for $15!!  1 ball actually does 2 pizzas very nicely, but it depends on how floofy you like your crust.  This is wonderful because we have people over A LOT, so it's a fun event for family or FAMILIES to make yummy pizzas together for really inexpensive.

All you do is thaw one out (or how many you want) for about 5-6 hours, roll it out on a pan, pre-bake it at 350 for 7-9 minutes, add the sauce of choice, dress it, and bake (for about 15 minutes depending on the oven)!

Back to Family Time...

It's amazing how much you can giggle over pizza

The FUNNIEST part of the process was finding THIS...

Happy Family Time to you all!!!

  1. I loved this post! Thanks for sharing and for linking up with me for TGIF!!

I did not know that you could buy the frozen deli crusts at SAMS club! That sounds great! We love to make homemade pizzas, but by the time I make the dough and pan out all the pizzas and prepare all the toppings and get them all baked and the mess all cleaned up -- I'm exhausted! :) Of course, it takes a LOT of pizza to feed my family plus friends! :)

I will look for the frozen dough at Sams next time. Thanks for the tip!

    1. You're welcome! I can only imagine the pizza production with your beautiful but large family! If you go to SAMS, you buy the dough at the Deli, not with all their other freezer products. I'd love to see the pizzas that will come from your family ;) Have a WONDERFUL week!

    1. Thank you! We had a lot of fun, I hope some more families will be able to share in this

  3. Your pizza looks like it turns out far better than my attempts. Maybe we'll need to try again. So nice to meet you from Ann's today.

    1. Thank you! I wish I could take the credit, but it's all SAM'S (Club) doing ;) I'd love to hear if you have pizza success too!

  4. Before I read your post, I took time to enjoy the title of your blog. Great idea.
I think cooking in the kitchen, especially a child friendly recipe such as pizza, is a great way to have fun, bond with your children and be silly.
Thank you for sharing with us at No Ordinary Blog Hop. Please keep linking up, if only because we have the same Pampered Chef pizza stone! Every blessing, Kelly

I'm delighted to hear your own encouragement & experiences. Thank you for joining me
