About

Nothing reduces stress faster than a thoughtful gesture from someone who cares.  When we feel a sense of community & support, no obstacle is too big.
**I want to BE that someone!**

My name is Christy Johnson.  I am a wife, mom, sister & friend and avid lover of all things silly. Above all, I'm a servant daughter of the KING, wanting to share tangibly who HE is with others.  As the community of Christ - we all TRULY need each other, and go out of our way to love those around us.

These Are A Few of My Favorite Things...
I thoroughly love having fun quirky family time, dating my husband, home-schooling my beautiful daughters (going on 5 years now..and by the time they graduate, I'll have it all figured out, right? NOT), and most of all, be a servant friend alongside my Jesus.

We hear the phrase all the time "Love our Neighbor" but when it comes to the day to day life, the question is always raised, "How do I"??

Life can be so busy, stressful and overwhelming.  Through the stresses, it's easy to forget our purpose is NOT to just survive day by day, but instead make an even bigger effort to pull together & share God's RIDICULOUSLY TANGIBLE, AMAZING love with those around us...then the body of Christ would be UNSTOPPABLE!

My FAVORITE picture of God's people working together:

43-45Everyone around was in awe—all those wonders and signs done through the apostles! And all the believers lived in a wonderful harmony, holding everything in common. They sold whatever they owned and pooled their resources so that each person's need was met.
46-47They followed a daily discipline of worship in the Temple followed by meals at home, every meal a celebration, exuberant and joyful, as they praised God. People in general liked what they saw. Every day their number grew as God added those who were saved.
Acts 2:43-47

I'm not suggesting we all sell everything, but I absolutely love the heart that they all pooled their resources so that each person's need was met, and that they lived in wonderful harmony, exuberant & joyful.  Is that too big of a goal?

Even Jesus had a "Posse" (or dudes,  friends, or whatever you want to call them)
If Jesus himself had twelve to walk with Him…why do we think we need to do this crazy life alone?  We live in such an independent culture, that it's easy to forget the fundamentals of community.  Laboring together, "Bearing one another's burdens".  I heard a wise pastor tell me that 90% of marriages that break up do not regularly spend time with other couples.

Lessons from my own stupidity
Join my journey of the day to day life of a wife, to working through the "fun" (most days anyways) of motherhood/homeschooling, finding ways to randomly love those around me, and also at times dealing with disagreements with people (of course we all  have challenging relationships) - most of the ramblings I share are nuggets of daily "Love in Action" through God's redeeming grace...a lot of them learned through my own stupidity.

We created "IsaVerb LLC" with the very HUGE goal of inspiring people to stop fighting for their own selfish rights and comfort, but rather for God's and be His disciple...by truly Loving One Another.

"Let me give you a new command: Love one another. In the same way I loved you, you love one another. This is how everyone will recognize that you are my disciples—when they see the love you have for each other."
John 13:35

  2. Well, I've searched all over your site for your name so I can call you by name, to no success. One thing I did notice is that you are a fellow homeschooling mom. As a 17 year hs'ing veteran, God bless you! I'd love to perform a random act of kindness (as I just read about on a lovely blog) by sending you a free download code for my devotional book, Joy in the Journey~ Encouragement for Homeschooling Moms. If you'll send me your email address, I'll send it right to you. You can read more about it here: http://lori-benotweary.blogspot.com/p/prayer-request-for-joy-in-journey.html

    Blessings, Lori (loriahatcher (at)gmail.com
